As promised, I'm finally writing my review for this fix! I had an incredible time in Ireland and along the way, my husband (bless his heart) indulged me by taking lots of photos of my Stitch Fix clothes to share with all of you.
In the note to my stylist for this fix, I specifically mentioned this trip and asked for pieces that would keep me warm and dry, yet stylish. Ashley rose to the occasion and selected 5 pieces for me that were absolutely perfect. Each of the items were not only great for my trip, but they fit into my every day life as well and I kept it all. Bam, shazam, thank you ma'am!
Stitch Fix is a personal styling service that's fun, simple, and set to your budget. A box of clothes and accessories chosen just for you shows up on your doorstep every month or however often you desire. It's ideal for someone who never has time to shop or hates to shop, someone who needs a closet makeover (that's me), or someone who just loves fashion. Check out What Is Stitch Fix? for more details.

Let's head to the Emerald Isle!
This jacket! It saved me from looking dull and boring and elevated me to actually looking stylish. I had planned to wear a very plain black rain jacket from Columbia on this trip (no offense to them, they make great products). It was simple and functional. Pretty blah. But this jacket, it's got attitude like I can keep you dry AND looking good, girl! Functional AND fashionable. It's not something I would have chosen for myself if I were shopping on my own because it's made of a very fashion-forward material. Thank you Stitch Fix for getting me out of the functionista comfort zone. The photo above was taken in Kenmare, the cutest little Irish village you've ever seen.
I planned the majority of my wardrobe for this trip around this jacket, thinking it would rain a lot because hello, it's Ireland and it rains there, right? Well, over the course of an entire week this photo is the ONLY TIME it rained. Seriously. I felt a little robbed. It wasn't even really raining, just a light drizzle for maybe 30 minutes and we were inside Trinity College for most of that time. Boo! I wanted to road test this jacket, get it out there in the elements, and really see what she can do.
Rain or no rain, I wore this jacket a lot on our trip. It has a drawstring at both the waist and the bottom to cinch up and make it more fitted, the pockets are roomy, and it's lightweight enough to layer but sturdy enough to protect me from wind. My one complaint about this jacket is that's it made from 'coated linen' which has a tendency to stick together and make a weird sound when you pull it apart, sort of like a waxy tablecloth you'd use for a picnic. This minor annoyance is the price I must pay for being so stylish. Sigh.
Fingers crossed we get tons of rain here in Northern California this winter so A) we get some relief from the drought and B) I get to wear this jacket!

This top has become one of my favorite pieces from Stitch Fix yet! I have one word for you...stripes. Need I say more? Okay, I'll say more. It's super soft and comfy. You can dress it up with black pants or a skirt and dress it down with jeans or shorts. On this trip, I wore it with my Kut from the Kloth boyfriend jeans. The photo above was taken outside the 13th century Dublin Castle. Incredible!
If you're one of the 12,000+ members of the Stitch Fix group on Facebook, you know how coveted this top is. I think some ladies might trade their first born for it. Okay, not really but it is very popular with the group!
I will get a lot of wear from this top. For a day of exploring Dublin, I paired it with the Pixley Analisse Anorak Jacket from my first fix (love that jacket so much).

This necklace looks like little golden spoons. Super cute! I like getting a necklace every now and then from Stitch Fix. My initial purpose of trying their service was to revamp my wardrobe, but accessories are the finishing touch of an outift and trust me, I need all the help I can get in that area, too.

This sweater just screams Ireland! It turned out to be one of my favorite pieces during this trip, but it was the item I struggled with styling the most. I liked the hi-low hemline, the marled black and white color, and the suede-like elbow patches. I did NOT like the way it fit. The scoop neckline felt WAY too wide, like it could slip off my shoulder. I honestly didn't want to keep this sweater because of that, but since I loved everything else in this fix it was more ecomonical for me to keep all 5 pieces and get the 25 % discount. I was even able to get a price match on this sweater from Stitch Fix, because I found it online for a lower price.
So now I had this sweater with an annoying neckline that I was DETERMINED to make work. My first attempt was pairing it with a hunter green chunky knit infinity scarf I got on clearance at a local department store for $4. It looked amazing and worked well to cover the Grand Canyon of a neckline. However, as our trip drew closer and I saw the weather was trending warmer in Ireland, I decided a chunky knit scarf would look stupid if it was 70 degrees. Next, I tried styling it with a dark denim shirt. It looked great with the sweater, but it felt too bulky. Both of these ideas are getting filed away for the winter when I wear this sweater again.
I finally decided to go with a lightweight infinity scarf I found at Target. The scarf alone wasn't enough to make me comfortable so I added a tee in a color that complimented the scarf and that combination was perfect. I could ditch the sweater and wear just the tee and scarf if it got too warm, which it did on this particular day. 70 degrees in Ireland! Where's the rain?!
The photos above were taken on side streets and alleyways in Dublin. I absolutely loved all the brightly colored doorways and buildings. My photographer worked overtime that day because I found so many interesting places to take my blog pics! I'm using some serious restraint by not posting more of the pics on here.

This is another one of my FAVORITE pieces I've received from Stitch Fix! It's perfection. I'm not sure why they call it a sweatshirt, because it's more like a sweater in my opinion. It's far too lovely to be called a sweatshirt. This photo was taken at the Gap of Dunloe, one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen and exactly what I picture when I think of Ireland.
I'm obsessed with the funnel neck and the kangaroo pocket (oh yeah, maybe those features are why they call it a sweatshirt). It's super soft! I feel like a broken record saying that about pretty much every Stitch Fix item I review, but it's TRUE.
I wore this top the very next day after I received this fix. You know it's a keeper when you can't wait to wear it! It's a little too thin on its own for me because I'm always cold, so depending on the temp, I layer it with a tank from Gap Body.

Virtual high five to Ashely for nailing this fix! I look forward to wearing these great pieces come fall and I'll be doing my best rain dance all winter long so I can wear that jacket!
