I'm going to apologize up front for the less than stellar photography. Mirror selfies are complicated! You often end up with the 'large hand on the phone' phenomenon. Refer to the first photo of the skinny jeans or the jacket below for an example. Yeah, that's not pretty. I tried to recruit my daughter to be my photographer but she was in the middle of binge watching Vampire Diaries, so I did my best. I promise I'll do better next time!
Let's get to it!
This top is hand wash or dry clean only. I have some clothes laying on my closet floor from last summer that are still waiting to be hand washed! Uh oh.
I would never think to pair it with olive as shown on the style card from Stitch Fix, but maybe I'll try it! It looks great with jeans.
Side note - I saw a similar white scarf with blue embroidery at TJ Maxx today for $12.99. Biggest difference? The material! This scarf material just feels richer. Or maybe I'm just imagining that so I can sleep at night.
(Are you seeing a pattern here?)
Love the buttoned up cuffs, the drawstrings at the waist and bottom, and the hood (the hood detaches).
I wasn't sure about the fabric or the fit. Although the fabric is very soft and silky, it feels heavy to me. The jacket is lightly lined, which probably adds to the weight. It also felt kinda big. I think it's meant to look slouchy and if it's a little big, I can wear it year-round with sweaters when it gets cold.
Once I tightened the drawstring at the waist, it felt better and after seeing it in photographs, I liked it even more. I decided to keep it in the end because keeping all 5 pieces means a 25% discount, so it was totally worth it to keep everything.
You have 3 days to decide what you'd like to keep and what you want to return and honestly, after spending 2 days with these lovely clothes, I was attached to them.
I can't wait to see how next month goes! Until then, I'll be strutting around town in my skinny jeans.
